Our Partnership with First Nations

Building in the Nation, by the Nation, for the Nation

Kesati partners with Manitoba Building Trades Institute (MBTI), to build state-of-the-art housing and commercial buildings. So often, homes built in Indigenous communities do meet appropriate standards and as a result, do not last.  We build high-caliber homes and other buildings, using quality materials and we do so on a turnkey basis at a guaranteed price – no change orders.

Our Commitment to Training and Employment

When we partner with First Nations, we are committed to creating training and employment opportunities for Indigenous workers such as:

• Partner with First Peoples Development Inc. to deliver our Introduction to Construction Program for up to 16 participants from community

• Ensure that during construction, the participants will continue their learning by helping build at the project site. We will not bring any labour from outside the community if the trainees can perform the necessary work

• Contract in from within the community. This means we will employ available workers for site works and use equipment owned by the community rather than bringing in outside workers and equipment
